Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
Here are some photoshop pics of some Crew Cab 4x4"s and the original pics that they were created from. The very last pick is my daily driver.

For the complements on my daily driver, but I can't take credit for these photoshop pics. I wish I had the skills to do this as this would come in very handy at times. 62 short step, Did you end up selling your truck on ebay? Here are a couple videos of some r/c trucks, one of a 1960 truck that reminds me of yours and one of a 1964 CrewCab. |

Virtual Reality Head Gear and controls that are hooked up to that truck with a camera inside the cab. Extreme 4x4n' in your own backyard. Same thing for the street cars, and even the remote control airplanes. You'd be flying, :uhmk: :D |
Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
Here are some 4x4 Chevy's the way they came from the factory wih no hub caps. From all the brochures that I can find only the first two years came with hub caps? GMC's on the other hand from what I can find all came with hub caps? If anyone knows which years 4x4's came with hub caps, Chevy or GMC please chime in.

I do know I like em simple. But I go back and forth as to whether I should turn my service truck into a 4x4 or not. I still think I favor the hotrod. But that truck above does look nice. |
Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
1963 Chevrolet was the first year without hubcaps on the 4WD. Wheels were painted black unless you had two tone paint then the wheels were painted main body color.
A 9 in front of the series designation indicates that it's a GMC part. 10 is Chevrolet 910 is GMC https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3...800/image0.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-K...0/image0-1.jpg |

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
66Gilbert the parts book has no listing for 4WD hubcaps after 62 for GMC either. Interesting! Any pictures of a GMC from 63-66 with factory caps with the cutout for the hub?
KTEN are those 16" wheels on your gorgeous truck? I'll have to find it and scan a picture of a 63 with hubcaps plowing snow in a Chevrolet advertisement. Yet as I have been told 63 did not come with hubcaps. If you look under " Engine " it says that the 63 came with a 230 but in reality 4WD's came with the 235 in the base model. 230 was not available till 64. Information from the 1963 Chevrolet Data Book. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-o...800/image0.jpg Yes even guys in Trench Coats and Fedora's are interested in 4WD. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-6...0/image4-1.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-j...0/DCP01019.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-T...%252520002.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-i...%252520005.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-i...%252520005.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-f...%252520006.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-N...%252520001.jpg From the 1963 Chevrolet Silver Book https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-p...%252520008.jpg |
