Re: Project "Financial Burden": 1968 SWB C10
Your truck is coming along nicely. Your work is top notch... I want my truck to look like your rendering but mine will be 507 blue. I have white wheels now but thinking about going back to black...
Also what wheels and size do you plan on running? |

Very nice work on the fuel tank and bed fill. The mounting ring is a nice touch.

The rendering is shown with 17 inch wheels. That is the minimum required to clear the front brakes I'm using. |

Also, nice work on the cab/bed cart. I'm a big fan of making tools to help the restoration process move along.

As far as the Hobart welder goes I have not had any issues with mine and I think they are a great value for the capability and price point. |

Not a lot of progress since my last post but I was able to smooth out the front bumper licence plate area. Since the material was so thick I had to get creative on how to give it a subtle curve to match the bumper.

Nice job on all the metal work and the subtle changes that will set this truck apart from others. Looking forward to seeing you progress through this build.

Re: Project "Financial Burden": 1968 SWB C10
Well it’s been some time since my last post. My wife and I are moving to a new house so that has slowed down progress quite a bit these past few months. The new house will have a larger workshop space so I'm looking forward to that even though my project is in "pause" mode at the moment. My dad and brother stopped by this weekend to help me move the truck to a storage location for the time being. You should see some new pictures starting in 2017 but for now here is the latest and greatest.
