Re: project: FTD
about 320 hp and 375 tq
this is with 9 to 1 compression and a 4000 pound truck using camquest |
Re: project: FTD
annd... well those sounnddd good to me!
hahahhaa... others say different.. i prey yours is right.. because it sure as hell dont feel like 250 hp... |
Re: project: FTD
this is not the greatest desktop dyno but it seems pretty acurate
i hope mine is going to be at 430hp/430tq after the head swap |
Re: project: FTD
You're showing 2 different valve sizes. Are your intake valves 1.94 or 2.02?
That 76cc head is your biggest setback right now. You gonna look for some with smaller combustion chambers? If you could find a set with 64-67cc chambers and 2.02 intake valves you'll be in good shape. |
Re: project: FTD
the heads unfortunately right now are obviously a major setback, bu tthey are past my allowance to get.. damn....
nut in the near future... it will come.. right now... i want them really really dang bad.. but oh well.. |
Re: project: FTD
i wonder how accurate the comp cams camquest is
|
Re: project: FTD
hey all well! i got the heads town down.. they are actually in reallllly dang good shape! (to bad im gonna replace them soon)
i finished all my welding and "fender extensions" up.. it could have definatley come out alot better but im inot gonna complain seeing how it's my first attempt at this... so inner and the main fenders done, all i need now is to get off me arse and sandblast the hood and the rad support, headers and battery tray... paint them up.. and then it'll be time to spray gloss coat on everything.... motor is ready valve r assembly once the RIGHT freaking valve seals come in.. and im set.. time to take pictures i guess |
Re: project: FTD
cool did you get that program working i think it works great
|
Re: project: FTD
ok so her's the pictures....
im waiting on gloss cote in the next few days to seal in the paint etc.. etc.. to make it alllll pretty... http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSC01086.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSC01089.jpg in addition to what is seen i also have new timing tape/ clutch(on order) all gaskets needed.. and well.. oil etc... whenever the gloss gets sprayed i'll be ready and waiting to put the body back together.... so i can finish sliding in the motor and be reeeady to go.... also got a new shock bolt mount for my front axle.. the old one was MIA for quite some time now... hopefully.. three weeks.. we'll be good to go... and i'll be ready fo break in! |

Re: project: FTD
wooot wooot! ordered my poly body bushings wheee!
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=53 now.. with the cab sittign at the correct angle (instead of metal on metal rad support, while rear of cab is on new bushings) and my motor is seated correctly! on the CORRECT engine mounts my distro will FINALLY be able to be adjusted without a whole lot of complaiing! |
Re: project: FTD
Man we need to get a filter for you bro. Sometimes you type things out so fast that it takes me a minute to figure out what you're trying to say :uhmk:
Nice work on the truck so far. Keeping my eye on the build process. |
Re: project: FTD
i talk like i think.. and i type like i talk..
yes i should Slllooooowwww down.. but it's a terrible habit left over from the army.. it's kinda lie army induced ADD... it sucks! hahahha |
Re: project: FTD
i had o do this....
was doing body mounts.. one bolt snapped off.. (and yes i used PB blaster.. my usual soaking regiem etc...) then i welded a socket onto the remaining shaft of the bolt.. bolt broke so far in that i couldnt save it.. so.. after heating etc.. it's just impossible.. so... i did this... now that ive calmed down im going to wait til tomorrow morning before i start welding it all back together http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSC01097.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSC01098.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSC01099.jpg |
