Heh. I blinked and now all it needs is wheels. Best budget truck I've ever seen. Subscribing. I wouldn't want to miss the wheel choice... ;)

Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
Damn Travis,$900. ? I guess all the sweet deals are in Tennessee.?..
I looked at a '95 the other day(in San Antonio)for $4K.It was a ragged pile that had collision damage that was trying to be hidden.Everyother one Ive seen for sale has been a 4x. This one youve got looks clean and sharp w/the drop. I would go lower in the front, myself, jus to give it a positive rake. You can do it w/a staggered sidewall setup. Carry on Sir. |
Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
Haven't been on here in months. Gotta say...like everybody else, "Man! (insert repetitive compliments here)" Haha. Can't wait to see the wheel choice either. Take your time because you have the makings of one sweet ride.
How cool would some big brakes and calipers look poking out from behind those 20's too?!? Just a thought. ;) |
Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
i wonder if there adapters for corvette brakes , these might be more budget then the bear stuff
it kindah does away with the "budget daily driver" thing though |
Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
Kore 3.
Not sure if they make a truck adapter setup, but I plan on running C6 Z06 brakes on my Chevelle and for the stock rotor setup the price is pretty nice considering similar Wilwood and Baer prices. Once you start upgrading to better rotors the price climbs but it's still not too crazy. It wouldn't be a budget thing entirely but if you it's still a great way to have big brakes fairly inexpesively in comparison. There's still a possibility of catching some guy upgrading to the bigger n better stuff. If anybody can sniff out a deal like that it's Travis. Haha. |
Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
How did you find one of those for $900? I have been looking for one for a few years and they are either trashed out or someone wants $10k for them. Congrats on the find. Its looking good.

Well its gone..:whine: But I did trade straight up for this 97 bagged on 22". The paint is nice, but the inside needs some work.. I think I did ok on this one..;)
I will do some work on it and then sell it... |
Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
Whoa.... :jdp:
That was from left field, but awesome trade on the '97. You shouldn't have any issues selling that thing when you're ready. |
Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
WOW!
that is just  nice truck though! :metal: |
Re: Project Tahoe on a Budget
