After talking with the owner, he wanted a raised panel look, like I have on my 54 bed. His sides were so bad and wavy that we decided to add 14 ga. sheet metal to the outside on panel.
Here metal has been placed for fitting. |

Pic 1 Here the metal has been trimed, and attached with panel glue.

Here the metal has been added, (note metal extended to bottom of fender and then back to stake pocket area), I'm working on a raise panel detail that will also be added (templete out of door board).

Since panel is close to stake pocket, filler was added now, will be sanded down and then install panel.

Also before installing panels, decided to extend the stake pocket to tie into running boards.

Runnin board is also bolted to the extension from back side.

Ok folks, let's get to todays post.
While working on the extensions, we got in the new Cadallic taillights, so we cut the hole in the rear stake pocket. |

To get a raised panel look on the inside a long single piece was installed on the panels. These were installed same as the outside panels.
