LOL yeah I can't believe how quick it has came along, if it wasn't for my buddy it sure wouldn't be where it is. Funny thing is he thinks it's coming along to slow lol

That tube frame is super sweet, I was wondering if anyone is doing something like this... Do you know the weight comparison to the original frame? Sweet build by the way very inspiring!

No I don't think it's coming slow at all lol, actually way faster then I would have imagined. Luckily my buddy helping me has a lot of push to keep it rolling along this fast or it would be nowhere near this far along!

Thanks man! You know thats something I was always going to try to do as this build has went along but I never did it. But before we welded everything together one of the frame rails was really easy to pick up and move by yourself, but since then we've added all the bracing between the rails and around the rear differential. When we tear it back down for paint I'm going yo try to weigh the stock rolling chassis and the new one and see.

Here's a shot of the hood hinges that my buddy made, he had never even saw any for these trucks before but didn't like the way the hood closed with the old hood springs and this is what he made. His ideas amaze me

couple more, the bottom is a shot with the hood closed through the wheel well. I love the way the contours of the hinges are

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Well this weekend we got front and rear bumpers mounted, recessed the rear in just a little to help clean it up. I'll have to get some bumper pics uploaded. Tomorrow if my rack and pinion shows up we'll be able to bolt it in and take it out of the garage for the first time under it's own power, I CAN'T WAIT! the wait has been driving me crazy

Well the first test drive didn't go as planned, we blew a seal in the rack and pinion. Got a new one on the way, hopefully it will show up soon and get it out again this weekend. Reasons like this are what test drives are for.
