Thanks brotha! Two Tone has been getting a tad bit of attention. lol Its to cold to paint right now and I haven't had the time to really get deep into body work yet. Two tone will be the main project again come spring time. :metal:

I just read through Crustine's Thread top to bottom. It looks like your haing alot of fun with that old truck! Glad to see it, 'cause I think that is the point of having an old project that is never finished. Keep up the good work and the entertaining thread.

Thanks! Yeah, Crustine is gonna be my work truck for awhile. Least until I get my 66 done. Then when I get the feel to restore the GMC I'll go through her completely like I am with the 66.

Re: 1964 GMC 1500 "crustine" semi- build.

Well no updates worthy of posting pictures for. Today I took Crustine to Dad's shop and put her on the lift. Boy was it a darn good thing I took a look at the underneath....Found out that my electric fuel pump wire had fallen from slack and was in the process of melting to the exhaust pipe! Needless to say that wire was replaced and held firm to the frame with zip ties. lol I then completely greased the front end(minus the spindles) and rear u-joint. My steering always felt a tad loose, and in the process of greasing I noticed one of my tie rod ball joints was not even tight to the center rod! So I tightened that up and things were nice and snug again. My brakes are way outta wack....rears lock up Way to easy. So tomorrow I'm gonna see about jacking the front end up and tighten the brakes up front. Probably will bleed them to. Gonna see about some new shocks for the front as I'm tired of the front end bouncing up an down like crazy over hilly/bumpy roads. lol With a 900 pound motor what can you expect! Anyhow, more updates to come in the future. Crustine is running like a champ!

I would pull the rear drums and check for leaky axle seals or wheel cylinders. At least see if the inside of the wheels and tires look wet. This will cause brakes to lockup especially when wet.

Did that today! lol Gonna need to replace at least one brake cylinder so I may as well do all 4. Got new KYB front shocks coming to help smooth up the ride with that big ol engine up front, and also got new grease seals for the front drums cause those were shot.

Hey guys!!!!!! Went and visited a buddy of mine from the GMC forum today! While I was there I purchase a manifold to modify for my 4 barrel. Super excited for that! And hung out and got some pictures. Also got some new KYB shocks for Crustine and grease seals and hub caps. Enclosed is a picture of Ed's 401 V6.....Gorgeous engine. Later guys! :gmc2:
