Re: "All Out Original 72"
I love what you are doing and I know you said that there would be a few miles put on this truck but I have to ask after this much work how do you drive them when your done with this perfection? Drive like stolen or push around with white gloves?

Re: "All Out Original 72"
I have a factory original, un restored, 69 GTO with a little over 18,000 actual miles. When I first got it in 94 it had 17,700 miles on it. Just loading and unloading at car shows has added the extra miles. I have driven it a few miles around town before, but the stress is just too much! The car has been appraised at $350k, because it's supposed to be the lowest mileage GTO documented, so yes my tale gets a little tight if someone even looks at it! LOL !
I will drive the truck a little, and yes I will get in it's arse a little to see what it's got, but after that it will be slow gooo! I must say after all the vehicles I have built through the years, I really hate to even start the engine on this one! It has really turned out nice. Thanks for the input!!!! |
Re: "All Out Original 72"
Dang that interior is just sickening, great job!! :metal:

Re: "All Out Original 72"
If you haven't heard it already, let me be the first to say "It's over restored" and "That's not supposed to be painted", as well as "It didn't come that way". Let me also add that I love it exactly how you did it. I know the purest are grumbling already, but who cares. This truck is an awesome tribute to the original truck and it will continue to look good for many years to come.
:metal: |
