Very nice wp . that would hurt a little to remove the shine but I dig the no shine look under the hood. build it hot and paint it stock !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

LOL...thank you , i have a March pulley system all powder coated black and will be running factory style air cleaner and valve cover....for that "STOCK" look

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

satin is in :D

Unless it's chrome I don't like polished under the hood. It's never a mirror polish so it always looks dirty/scratched to me anyways...

And chrome only used sparingly...

...now billet specialties items....those look nice polished.....but are $$$$$$$$$$

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Thanks...it has pracitcally came to a stop for the moment , concentrating on getting the front inners into production, hopefully as soon as that is handled it will generate the extra money to get this completed..my goal is by the end of the year !!

Even better- paint it the color of the block! ;)

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

well the block is going to end up silver so i thought it might look cool to contrast it a little with satin finished aluminum !! my March pulley set up is powdercoated black

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

what color are you going to do your alternator in?

67cheby 04-15-2011 12:34 PM

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

same silver as motor, its a 140 amp alt i smoothed up a little

VA72C10 04-15-2011 01:44 PM

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

hmmm...then i might recommend the same for the pump then. It's smooth so it'll look really good painted. And will not stick out but blend nicely and then the black/silver contrast will be nice and sharp with no other colors involved.....just my humble opinion ;)

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Great to see some progress and to hear you are getting excited in the project again.

I know I have lost motivation on mine quite a few times. It might be a little easier to stay focused if I didn't have five project vehicles going all at the same time. :hh:

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

yes....5 is ALOT of projects to stay focused !! over the last 8 years when i get fustrated i just step back for a little bit cool off and start again later !! hopefully the inner fender production will lead to money to finish this....i guess we will see !!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Hope these do provide you with the funds needed to finish up your truck. I know you've been working hard on them and deserve a break to get your truck finished!!!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Nice work on the inner fender blanks. It looks like a real cool design. I think you will get some $$ back out of the deal. Nice!
