Here's one of my recent purchases. It is a 70 CST. If I keep it long enough I'll put it on the road for this summer.
|
my ugly beast is getting a face lift. I'm taking off the grill, hood, fenders, doors, tailgate, windsheild, and cowel cover to have them stripped and painted. The interior, fenders, and inside of pannels will be done with Quiet Car and herculinner; the roll cage will get fresh powder coat. All the holes in the body will be fixed with welded pannels (i'm no pro).
I have not decided on color scheme, but it will be good! this is not a restored to origional truck; built for a beating :burnout: my buddy has a sweet stock blazer, but I don't inderstand why??? http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...d=116686&stc=1 notice the welder/helmet, sand for blasting, sander, and parts missing. I'm just getting started. :metal: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...d=116687&stc=1 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...d=116688&stc=1 |

I'm off 52 in Lenape. What color is your Blazer? There was a yellow one at Faulkner last summer, never did get to talk to the owner. Was that you? http://home.comcast.net/~sb400/a003_3_web.JPG |

Mike... |
GVYA, first off, nice Blazers :metal: . secondly, where'd you get those sliding side windows in the red one? i'm having trouble finding some.
|
I've had a few people ask, I bought the thing over 10 years ago now and it came with those sliding rear windows.... If someone was hardcore enough I bet you could have CNC machine cut you out a pair from aluminum 3/4 plate then fab the verticles yourself and get some glass cut. I will post on the board if I do find they are for sale somewhere but it might have been someting that was for sale years ago....

nice monster truck you got there.[i know it's not].
but thats the way to build one.i had 75 blazer,3" body,8"suspension from skyjacker.total 11" of lift with 44's on 14" wheels.[chrome bart wheels no longer in production].with 3/4 runnin gear.it was fun.keep up the good work ring master. |
I'll a little late...but add my '72 4x4....Below is the pic of her getting trailed home. Right now, it's in pieces in the garage...more pics to follow shortly once I get the BB dropped in. After finishing the heart transplant, I should be able to knock out the remaining bodywork by summer time. It'll be a beauty queen then...well maybe not ;) Anyway...
My favorite thing about his pic is the Truck parking sign in the background...yeah boy! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...blazerhome.jpg |
looks like you got a good project to start with. glad to see more 4x4 blazers on the board... as a side note, maybe a group of the 4x4's could get together and do a run somewhere... just food for though.
