Well here are the pics I promised of my new rat/shop/hot rod truck... Its a 64 C10 350 with a 700R4 and a 3:42 posi rear.. Porterbuilt Dropmember with ART control arms, KP notch with 2 inch blocks... 91 Chevy seat with the frame cut down and recovered black/houndstooth. 19 gallon fuel tank between the rear frame rails. bed floor was raised so the floor was still flat... truck drives so freakin nice its unreal... Front inner fenders fabbed and hinges moved to firewall.. All the logos are new but weathered to look old.. They are from dragstips in the local area that closed in the late 70's Don't pay attention to the date stamp on the pics...

c10addict, that truck is absolutely drop dead gorgeous! I love everything about it. I have seriously contemplated doing the same thing to mine, new drivetrain with modern suspension and rat the rest of it! Paint is too damn expensive. Nice ride.

Thanks... I love it... its out in my driveway all night while my 68 rests under a cover and I worry about something happening to it.. Its great to be able to just drive it and not worry about if it gets caught in the rain or little scratches... I take my dog for rides in the 64 and actually use it like a truck is meant to be used... Plus I let my future wife take i and drive it and not worry... that alone is priceless..

not to get to far off topic here, but please PM me about the sway bar you speak of. A part number would be awesome. I just happen to have my other browser tab open to summit trying to find one, and they make a blu emillion of them.

they have two websites

www.rpmpgh.com or www.goprorides.com The only problem is they just kinda threw them together one night and didnt keep any measurements... I am at the shop all the time and can have them measure them up and maybe make another set..

here's what I ended up doing based on what he told me. He recommended that I buy a Addco unit and have it custom bent. However, since I currently dont have sway bar mounts at all and would have to weld them on, I just went with the one that summit sells for our trucks and will fab the control arms mounts based on that.

Nate at Porterbuilt directed me to Addco, they took a 67 to 72 bar and bent it in an additional inch on each side to work with the dropmember.. $138.00 to my door and I had it in less than a week... Great company to deal with!
