Re: ls turbo build

I wouldn't worry about them. I put a set of ebay china stainless longtubes on an LS swap build, and they are holding up really well. Huge bang for the buck.

How long have you had them. All the ones I ever seen lasted about 6 months and breaks right off at the merge, especially after the heat cycles and the stress of the weight from the turbos. But then those I saw were on Hondas.

LONGTUBES. On an NA setup. I would never hang turbos directly off of a thin tube header. lol.

Oh ok, I misread the long tubes because all I saw was those shiny turbo headers posted earlier.

Very Cool. I have changed directions on my LS build and am about to pull the trigger on ordering a turbo set up. I'm following Denmah's sloppy type build from LS1tech. Most likely doing a VS Racing set up for now.
Like you, I want to keep the AC. What bracket did you have on the AC comp at first? And now you have a bracket from LSbrackets.com? Would you mind posting a link if you get time? Would you want to sell the C6 manifolds you started with since you're doing headers now? Keep up the nice work! Love the build.

Re: ls turbo build

Thanks.. both ac brackets came from lsbrackets.com . They don't make the bracket that I had anymore.. but you can call them to make sure..I sold mine. I'm not using the c6 manifolds or the truck manifolds.. so I will let them go..

Re: ls turbo build

Any more of how u routed into turbo? Assuming u ran divided hotside all the way to turbo

Re: ls turbo build

Just a question, if you are fix mounting your turbo to the frame and have no flex joints in your hot side what are you going to do to stop the pipe from breaking due to engine movement?

The only time I have ever seen a turbo fix mounted to the chassis was on a car with engine plates.

Maybe I am missing something on your setup but if I am not you might want to consider this.
