, Thanks Ronnie. It's a really fun truck and I've enjoyed using it as one. Any progress on yours?

Thanks! The tag fits the truck perfectly, now if I could only find an aluminum camp shell to go on it.........:D.

I pulled the valve covers to change the gaskets and snapped a shot of the goodies underneath, :metal:.

They want another $800+- just for the software to unlock the ECU. So I think I might just need to wait and put a Mag'y on the Tahoe:lol:

If you're right foot is like mine and you put a S/C on LOBUCK, you'll ruin your gas mileage.....:D. Besides, I think you're money would be better spent on the Tahoe, ;). That's going to be the "circuit truck" and you'll end up with a better ROI.....:metal:.

Yeah, they're Dart Pro 1 Platinim 200 aluminum heads with SPW 1.5 Stainless Steel roller tip rockers

Here's some more info on the engine:

Man an old aluminum Gem Top with the green plastic side windows would be perfect! I wish I could remember how heavy they were though, a lot of people put racks on the top of them. I know they are pretty strong.

can't seem to find those rear wheels in a 6" backspace... only 5.5 then jumps to 6.5" .... I better do some more digging

I've been looking, but still haven't been able to locate one.

I have the wider rearend (71/72), if you have a 67-70, the 5.5 would work, but if I were you, I would go with the 6.5 BS. This will give you some extra room if you decide to go real low.

Just read the whole thread, really nice job!! IMO, the Welds look way better than the Coys on this truck. They fit the vibe better. I love the color combo, and the interior came out great. Is that a roots set-up on an LS engine in the burb? Sweet!! Can't wait to see more...

It's got a Magnacharger in it. I finally got some paint on the burb and picked up a new steering wheel for the 68. Here's some pics

Looks great! The other wheel was cool too but the black fits in with the overall theme better.

you need to move this way... the options that I explained earlier are going to grow over the next three years...

oh yeah, we just got 5" of snow this morning!

I left PA for the south, there seems to be room for us car nut Yankees down here. Then you won't have to worry (well maybe once before you die) about 5" of snow.:ito:

I will more than likely move south once the kids are out of the house (14 years from now!) That will more than likely be my time to retire as well...
