Hey 67cheby, thanks for the props!! I am also amazed at how closely this fits (width wise), I keep thinking that it's almost designed to have this cab on this floor. ;)

Very cool project! I always wondered how all of that would line up, it looks like you've got it figured out

Gotcha, the last pic just confused me because of the angle. I knew you did your homework and had a plan I just didn't see it. Almost time to mount up some 35's and go muddin!

I wish I could go muddin around here, the problem is the government and private land owners have pretty much locked up all the land around here. Going off road is a big "no no" around here. The nearest o.r.v. park is over a hundred miles away. Dirt roads and logging roads is the norm, and I plan on traveling in the truck, so I went with some Falken all terrain 33 x 12.50's. I'll post some pics of them soon.:chevy::gmc2:

Coming from you that's quite a compliment,,,Thanks!!! As far as having it all figured out, not quite, I've spent a lot of time measuring, putting the cab on, taking it back off, cutting a little here and a little more there, and not sleeping well, hoping I'm getting this right. Seat of the pants engineering at it's finest.

So when are you installing a remote mount turbo?

Well I'm running out of money pretty fast, I'll be lucky to have enough left to put an interior it her. I doubt a turbo will be in the picture, however I do plan to go through the engine in a year or two. The Yukon has a little over 100k on the odometer, and the engine is starting to get that "piston slap" noise when it's started cold. Nothing some new pistons and a little "blueprinting" won't fix.:fry:

Looks like they fit together nicely. Great work.

I'd love to take your approach to a 67-72 Suburban body and mate it to a 2000-up 4x4 Tahoe chassis. Maybe shorten the Sub to make the wheelbase match similar to Frizzle Fry's "Tahoe".

Yea the liberal tree huggers don't think the grass and weeds will grow back. Ya need to find a farmer that don't care unless ID. is like Wis. where the DNR controls that too.

Hey FrankieD,,,,The DNR isn't really a problem,, the private land owners are mostly Californian's (tree huggers) that moved (escaped) to Idaho in the last 20 years and the local Indian tribe (I'm sorry, local native American tribe) and they are fanatical about keeping the average Joe off the land. And of course the government doesn't really see the need for people to be in the forest so they continually lock up more and more land. Then they illegally introduce Canadian Grey Wolves just in case you still want to venture into the woods. The department of interior (department of idiots) is not real welcome around here. So it's good to have something to work on like Tangerine to keep my mind off the screwing we're getting around here. Sorry for the rant.:waah:

Yeah that thing is pretty sweet,,,he's put a lot of work into that. I was considering doing a two door "panel" on this frame someday, shorter than a suburban, longer than a blazer. Just two front seats in the front and a bed for sleeping in the back. What do you think?

Not yet,, but my wife would be happy if I sold it. I appreciate the offer and the interest, but this little venture is more about finally finishing something I started than it is anything else,,,, I'm in it till the end. I'm starting to feel like I might actually pull this off,,,I think the body and paint should be done in the next few months, and then I'll let the finances re-build so I can put an interior in it. Wish me luck! ;)
