I’m curious to know what you are able to figure out too. I sent away for the info on my ‘69 about 18 years ago. If I remember correctly I did get some basic production info. Example being it was 1 of 208 trucks produced for that year that were optioned with: 4 wheel drive, V8, 3 speed (column) on a Longbox 1/2 chassis.

my gmc title says '68, but vin says '69 how do they go about this? why would it be titled as 68?

Most likely the person at the DMV or the dealer ship,fat fingered it and it is to much trouble to change.

I have a 1972 GMC 1 Ton with 402 ci engine, AC pickup with 8 1/2 foot bed. Anyone out there know how many of these they made with the 8 1/2 foot bad with 133" wheelbase? All the production #'s I've seen are for Chevy Longhorns.
