Interesting, looks like GM was thinking about marketing the Brigadier in Great Britain.

That's a fantastic ad. My favorite GMC, too.

We had out local ATHS show yesterday. It's held at the John Deere dealer along with Central Maryland Tractor Club's show and pull. The dealership has always had this T-series Chevy hauler (427). It was cool to see they still have it and rolled it out

Thought I'd share this, too

Looks like it was a great show. It would have suited me just fine as besides the trucks, I'm also a John Deere fan. Any 435's there with the 2-53 Detroit?

I didn't see any. But lots of nice old John Deeres pulling the sled. There was one pulling truck, an S-series IH. Turns out a guy I know was running it. It had an 8v71 they stuck in it. It normally runs a 12v71 but it needs work. Sounded great pulling

Unfortunately sitting on a auction truck. Such a neat old truck.

That's a heavy T-model. Looks like a small grille guard on there.

That Fruehauf Trailer ad is super cool. Great GMC rig straight out of the '50s. There was a Fruehauf dealer in Ellicott City, MD until 25-30 years ago (or more)

Nice pop hauler

The grille guard could be a step plate for hanging chains on the cargo

The D860 was actually built up until 1962. The new-for-1960 DB-7000 came only with the 6V-71 so customers wanting the in-line 6-71 in a short conventional had to buy the older D860. In 1963 the DBI-7000 finally replaced the D860.

Found this one on Facebook. She's one of the last GMC Astros built with a date of August 17th, 1987 they stopped production in September of 87. This one is equipped with an 8V92TA and a 13 speed with just under 600,000 miles on it.

Wouldn't mind owning it

These are my favorite five I have saved. The last picture I know nothing about that extra grille work. Prototype?
