Survivor 76 Crew Cab

This is a local truck that was with the original owner since December of 75. I stopped and expressed interest in it several years ago, was told it wasnt for sale, but I left my contact info. Fast forward to a week back, I got a call, packed cash and battery and drove it home.
Photo from the day I stopped to ask about it: Attachment 1952729 |

Congratulations on hanging in there and finally getting the prize. 454 I presume?

It was bought for and spent its life as a vineyard truck. The benefit of that being it was only used between April and October, and was stored for the off season.
The glove box had a few treasures: Attachment 1952730 Attachment 1952734 Attachment 1952732 Attachment 1952735 |

Ive started cleaning up the original paint. So far Ive just been doing it by hand with clay, polishing compound and wax. Ill probably spend A few days on this. Theres a ton of painted metal.

Wow that’s a nice looking truck. The clay bar & polishing is making a huge difference. Can you show some pics of the interior?

Here’s a question. Was there a seat belt recall on these at some point? There was a box under the rear seat with a new seat belt receiver, hardware and install instructions. The box is stamped 1986.

Pulled the dash cluster tonite to address the high beam indicator - bulb was loose in the socket. These wires & connector in the photo below were tucked up behind the dash. Is this for a radio?

Re: Survivor 76 Crew Cab
Awesome! Makes sense given that it was used at a winery!
