5 Attachment(s)
Finalll got the Dropmember and KP six-link with watt's link installed in Dino's 78. It's running 20's up front (with a lot more room for a larger wheel/tire combo) and 22's out back. It has a few loose ends to tie up before it's "done".

Second pic is the new ride height.

I will snap some pics of the engine compartment and bed on Monday. I haven't "trimmed" anything up front... and not sure if I will need to. Obviously the factory inners are in my "junk pile" and I removed the factory A/C box... I figured the tire would be up into the factory box, but looking at it now there might just be the need to mod the blower motor mounting location.

Looks good. You need to put a lift kit on the license plate frame.

Here's some pics of the insides for ya!

We did not have to trim any of the fender... the camber is not set yet, but it looks like it will have plenty of room. The battery tra/hold-down will need to be modded... this battery will be relocated. I also tried to get some pics of firewall to tire clearance where the factory A/C box and blower motor go. I am feeling pretty good about stuffing the factory A/C box back in! Looks like we will only have to make some minor changes.

This picture was taken of the KP Components / Porterbuilt truck at ride height .....

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1188009438

vs. the truck with an ART kit deflated ....

http://www.ridetech.com/productinfo/...s/WhiteC10.jpg

This is the picture that would make anyone want to build one of the 73-87 trucks without a doubt.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1188009438

Best part, it's still got a stock floor, bolt-on kit, and still gets more lift then the "other" kit on the market.

Are the lic. plates in Arizona "larger" then the ones we have in California ?

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1188009438

I think there's going to be a new demand for a lic. plate section kits now.

Thanks for the pics. It appears that the most cutting is required in the bed. Could that be resolved by raising the bed floor and tubs?

You may already know this, but we used a early 60's blower fan on my 82 Blazer a/c box. It is lower profile, and gave us almost an inch of additional clearence. We did have to section the box to gain the rest of what we needed, but it would clear with a 28" tall tire. Of course that was with a stock crossmember.

They mentioned above that the rears are 22" and the fronts are 20" but they did put the rears up front just to check and they did fit fine. Dino just liked the 22/20 combo better!

Great looking truck for a box! JK

With a 2.5" drop spindle and a ART lower Strong Arm you can lay frame with a 22" wheel and tire combo (assuming its between 29" and 30" tall).

If you're a baller slap on a 3" drop spindle and a ART lower Strong Arm and lay out on a twenty-foe (31" diameter tire)!:phat:

Yes, I think the "cutting" in the bed could be eliminated/minimized by raising the bed-floor and the tubs.

Thanks for the heads up on the blower motor... there's still a whole lot I don't know!
