Its different than the one in my 77 I will post up pics soon |
Re: parting out 79 K-10
If you include the both springs theres one that is attached from the clutch pedal to the top of the pedal assembly and another that is attached from the pedal to the bottom of the pedal assembly near the dash and steering column I will gladly buy the whole assembly . I assume this is NOT a hydraulic clutch upgrade

I converted the linkage in my driver to hydraulic so I could swap in a NV3500 and we had to cut the spring off, |

so its probably scrap, unless you want to swap the shafts, Ive done that before, but its a pain, I did it just so I could use 1982 door panels on a 73 door the 73 door had the short shaft and the 1973 only really small rollers in the tracks |

Is the rear driveshaft still available? Also, just want to make sure it is the type with the slip joint in the driveshaft, not the type where the slip joint is into the tail housing of the transfer case. Shipping to 23323. Thanks,

look closely, you can see its missing 3 of the 4 aluminum vertical pieces, might not be worth fooling with, but Ive had several people ask about a factory bare aluminum one, apparently all the ones avail to purchase now are black aluminum I dont know if this one is factory or not I have one in my sons 77 stepside, that came out of a 82 that my uncle bought new, and it looks very different from this one. it has a 1/2 inch extension on the inside and all the glass sticks out twards the outside. |

I should have bought a parts truck last year, we just swapped in a NV 3500 5 speed from a 2006 Silverado into the 77 stepside and converted the clutch to hydrualic, and the clutch pedal pivot was so worn out and egg shaped that it couldnt be reused, so we wound up finding a brake pedal, which is a mirror image of the clutch pedal at the top pivot, and cutting the lower 1/3 off, flipping it over, and bolting the bottom half of the old clutch pedal to it, this worked out fine and I wish I had put some more thought into it and made the pedal adjustable between the 2 sections, so I could adjust the pedal height , which we did, but only by drilling a new hole, |
Re: parting out 79 K-10
Has the dash been cut out for an aftermarket radio? I want to put a factory radio in my truck and I need a patch panel to weld into my dash where the radio goes. If you could cut that section out of the dash for me that would be great.
