For those that have posted pictures already, how much drop do you have on your Suburban and what method did you use to lower it (drop springs, spindles, etc...)? Thanks!

CPP 2.5 inch drop spindles and one loop removed from the coils. rear is two inch lowering blocks. The front coils need to be carefully indexed in both the top and bottom pockets. You cut the end that goes in the bottom pocket.
Also installed 80's IROC stabilizer bars and one-piece driveshaft.

I lowered my 'burb with ECE 2.5" drop spindles with 1.5" drop coil springs in the front and 2" rear springs with 1" lowering blocks in the rear. The wheels are 15x8.5 and tires are 235/70's in the front and 255/70's in the rear.

It rides great. I would like to bag assist the rear sometime to help out when I am towing.

Re: How about some pics of lowered 2wd

For my '67...
Used 6" drop coils in the rear. 2" Drop spindles in the front with one complete circle cut out of stock coils, so about 4"
Tires are 275/45/20 and 285/50/20.

Yes, these are the Boss 338's.

I changed the front disk brakes over to 88 and up truck disks, so I did not have to worry about the rim hub to rotor hub interference.
Not sure if Boss has fixed that yet......

I'll try to get all my photos before and after any make my own thread soon.

Hey Rondog, they are seats out of a 2001 chevrolet 1500 with integrated seat belts and both rows are front seats. They worked out very well and mounted quite easily. I think the 99 tahoe seats will mount quite similar and look great. I just needed shoulder harness seat belts so my wife would let me take the kids in it and the newer seats just worked better for me. Thanks for the compliments.

How does it ride with the 6" coils? I like the stance but I would probably need to add tow bags to the rear for towing my little Airstream.

HighlanderBrad,

I LOVE your suburban! it is my favorite one i have seen yet. Flat black exterior and red/ white interior in an awesome combination. And the boss 338's are also my fav. Good job! you have great taste!

here is a picture of mine. it was already painted when i got it, or else i would have went with the same paint scheme as yours. I still plan on getting 20" 338's in the future.

I did mine with dropped springs all around, dropped spindles in front, and air shocks in the rear so I can tow. It works. Drive it daily. Just put a fresh motor in it. Workin on a 2 wd Blazer. When the Blazer is street ready, the sub is for sale.
