Rear view mirror (interior)...location of mounting holes???

Hey Guys,

Well I've finally given up on the "glue on" style rearview mirror in my '72 Burb... and I ordered up an earlier header-mount style one instead.

I can pretty confidently guess that the mounting holes should be centered between the existing sunvisor mounts, but does anyone have a photo or dimension that shows how far away from the windshield frame the holes should be drilled??

The photos I've seen so far seem to show the mirror base almost perfectly aligned with the visor mounts.... but if someone has a more accurate dimension I'd be happy to hear it.

Thanks!

Should be the same as a pickup. I can send some pics of my pickups mirror mount.

If you've got a shot with the holes and the mirror removed, that would be great.

Thx.

Sure here you go, I took it apart for a picture series for you. There is a raised area in the roof for the mount. You can see that the center hole is exactly 2 inches from the windshield header.

No problem, it took less than 10 minutes for the whole operation!
