Seat belt mounting?

I'm getting ready to install a seat out of a 88-94 in my 67. I still have the tank in the cab. I see several people mounting the 88 and up style seat belts in. How are these being mounted ?. Are the floors being drilled and reinforced?

On the passenger side you can use the factory mounts, driver's side you'll need to drill a new hole slightly forward of the factory hole and brace it. I made a plate of 1/8" steel and bolted it to the factory seatbelt hole, then drilled the new mounting hole. I don't have a lot of pictures from it way back when (2002/2003). I did not try this with factory seat, I used the seat from a 92 regular cab, which is where I got the belts from. The belts from the extended cab work better, as I found out later, as the housings are thinner. Middle belts work fine in stock holes although with stock seat you may need to use a longer grade 8 bolt and about a 1" spacer.

With the tank out they fit much better and use stock holes.

So I'm not sure if the retractors I have are different or something but with the mounting tab on the side I don't see how they could be mounted with the original holes..

Yeah those were likely first set I did. The blue ones. They will work but with the tank you'll need to move them forward of the factory outside mount holes.
