1-7/8" long tube headers?

Anyone aware of a 1-7/8" long tube LS header available for the 67-72? I've found 1-3/4" but not the larger diameter tubes.

Thanks

Speed Engineering makes some but they are not coated, they are stainless steel. I guess you could have them coated. They are cheap enough and fit well.

Thanks Steve. I'll see how they compare (visually) to the long tubes we ran on the dyno.

I have those now but want to switch to long tubes (better high rpm performance). Its too bad because the DT's look top notch.

I just installed Speed Engineering 1-7/8" long tubes and am impressed with the quality for the price. It will be a while before I run them (frame off rebuild)
Did have to grind a little (3/8) off pass side frame . Also ear on transmission and nub on block above oil filter. I used MSD multi angle plug wires.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, they might be the only game in town for a direct fit 1-7/8 LT header. I think there are some others that *might* or *should* fit (keep hearing trailblazer SS should) but they aren't sold for our specific application so I'm staying away (I don't want to create unnecessary headaches). My engine guy compared them (visually) to his engine dyno headers and he said they looked pretty close.

I haven't heard anyone grinding on anything but the transmission to fit (and figure since mine is a M6 I might not have to). Guess I'll brace myself in case I have to do some more "fitting" like you did and maybe leave the front clip off until I know for sure.

67ls3 , do you have a picture of how low the long tubes hang past the frame? trying to get an idea how low they hang from a distance before i pull the trigger.

Does anyone know if the speed engineering 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 headers work with a column shift?

Thanks,

Wes

I ordered a set this morning (1-7/8 long tube). I'm running a T-56 so I won't be able to comment on shift linkage clearance but I'll post some pics when they come in and I get them hung.
