2 main people are leaving a jeep forum that are really helpful and they say is because of WOKE. I don,t really understand what this term mean.

- A process and methodology to get people to accept that witch is untrue and for EVERYONE to NOT believe their lying eyes.

- A perversion of definition, where the meaning of all things are distorted and contorted.

- A condemnation of all things I hold dear and love.

- wholesale disrespect of all things true and right.

- A sham... and a shame!

I too have been wondering what woke is or means. But I didn't care enough to google it and go through oh so many links of BS. Seems every week there are new words or terms that some folks pick up on and adopt as word of the day or description of a group, etc. Florida governor uses the word woke as much as anyone I've seen.

I can't be woke because I never was nappin'. My eyes are open and I can see the world just fine through them without anybody's help.

I've seen 'woke' used and could tell it was supposed to mean something, but hadn't seen context to corelate any meaning, nor care enough to ask or look into it either. We're getting educated here.

Some great definitions in this thread! I had some vague idea what "woke" meant -- or stood for -- but never tried to pin it down.

I guess basically it's a concept that is just about 180 degrees from what I value and believe in.

Some of the woke has been awaken to the fact that while they have been imposing their wokeness upon others...other folks wokeness is now being invoked upon them. A poke to the woke.

It is just another catch phrase someone coined so that you have to choose what side you are on and so you have to figure if it makes you mad or not. Now a days you have to choose where you eat or where you shop or what you listen to. I do what makes me happy, have enough negativity from people around me.
I find it amusing the definition describes the people opposing it and the exact same people pushing it. Kind of like a oxymoron

We got a new gold dog puppy a couple of weeks ago. We are house training him. So this morning it was -17 with about a 20 mph NW wind. I was really "woke" when I took him outside this morning at about 6AM.

This is my favorite red hat I wear , I've gotten a lot of comments from the woke crowd over the last few years until they read the front of it just because it's red ? , :lol: Now I wear it just to get them going !

Sounds like yet another way for some to fulfill their need to feel they are somehow better than others. Like they woke up to revelations they assume no one else ever pondered before when all they are doing is hoping a band wagon or souls trying to find their way.

i think announcing your departure is as woke as being offended by anything. it used to be that if you didnt like what people said you just didnt listen.

I had a younger subordinate tell me at work 15 years ago that he "didnt like the way I talked to him" because i was direct and tried to keep him tasked focused, he was prone to throwing his brain around incorrectly. I politely told him he had asmo'd to my group because no one else in the company would even put up with him, and he was on the bubble of being let go, so he could either find some peace with how i kept him productive or find another job. he went to HR and told them what i said and they put him on probation. i feel like today they would throw him a pity party and invite everyone to bring food.

I've had people make comments about my red baseball cap. Its says Goodguys Member with their logo .

In some places you dont comment on a red or blue cap or you might get capped

^^^ Buncha knee jerkin' fools. "Can you read??" Makes me want to come out with that bumper sticker I thought up 30 years or more ago, "Think First". Got to keep things simple for people to grasp it. And that came to mind over traffic stupidity. Now it's everywhere :ack:

"Woke" is just the new catchphrase for people saying or doing what one doesn't like. It works for everyone.
