On an average it is $3.oo a gallon here.

I hope the Winter blend is coming soon:lol:

[Winter Gasoline In winter, gasoline blends have a higher Reid vapor pressure, meaning they evaporate more easily and allow gasoline to ignite more easily to start your car in cold temperatures. This blend is cheaper to produce, which results in lower gas prices at the pumps from late September through late April.]

Actually it’s supply and demand. Stupid uncle Brandon cut our US production and made new drilling on fed land more difficult. Once again making us dependent on the Saudi’s when we have all the crude and natural gas we could ever need right under our feet here in the US. I work for a smaller producer of about 170 employees in the San Juan NM basin. One plus side for me is we get a lot better bonuses when crude and natural Gas are high. Still sucks filling up everything but my company truck though.$3.50 a gallon here for regular and climbing.

I could be mistaken about that..... it's been known to happen before. ;)

I have made similar correlations in my personal studies

California gets a head start with gas taxes just barely south of $0.67 / gal.

$ 2.89 just north of DFW. $ 2.95ish in DFW.

Sounds good. I spent a little time (six weeks) in Tennessee a loooooong time ago. Very friendly people there, but a bit more humidity than I care for. Beautiful country, as I recall!

California is brutal on any kind of taxes. Ask me how I know. I wanted to blow this state but my wife didn't. Guess who won that one?

I would love to go to Tennessee. My father originally was from there. Then they moved to Washington and then California. I've probably still got some relatives running around over there.

It would be cool to meet them. But my dad never talked much about it. But then again he never talked much about anything.

I put gas in my son's truck yesterday. Couldn't even say how much it was a gallon, I never looked. I looked Thursday when I filled my Suburban. That's when I found out it had taken a jump up the price ladder. That's all I needed to see. It was the only gas station around and they are all up in the same neighborhood anyway. It sucks but I need gas. I'm feeling a gripping sensation between my legs

CA banning sale of new gas powered lawn equipment won’t impact per gallon cost but interesting to note https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...equipment.html

It had to be California (Rolleyes) I get so tired of this state sometimes.

It'll never fly. The gardening industry and tree service industry are going to have a fit. How are they supposed to do their work without proper equipment?

It's a dumb short sighted idea, but that's nothing new around here.

I got gas last nite for 2.89 here. I was surprised as the average price for most is 3./3.05 around here. As for Tennessee….nice state, good people but funny weather. At the c10 nats, it would rain one minute and sun would come out the next. But…eating Mexican and drinking beer with getter done along with life advice from grumpy could make for a memorable trip indeed.

Yeah The saying about the weather in Tn. is:
If you don't like it right now.
Wait 5 minutes.

There’s a good chance I’m headed to Tennessee myself in a few years. My dad is fixing to retire next year and headed from northwest VA to Tennessee. He’s looking at several hundred acre parcels to try and get me and my brothers down there on some land. My wife is actually on board. If nothing else I’m going to build a second house there for when we get the hankerin to get away from NM for a little bit. It will be nice to be back in the true south. I’ve missed it a lot over the last 8-9 years.

I could live with that. 5 minutes isn't very long. At least that's what she said. :(

Its already been signed into law - includes generators too, which surprises me given the recent bouts of black outs. My in-laws still live in OC.

Gas price here was $2.84 a few minutes ago.

If my power goes off my generator goes on. I don't care what they say. F them.

I haven't read the law but I don't think it goes into effect for awhile -- and I think it would only apply to sales of new units, not a ban on existing ones.
If I'm mistaken about that, I'd like to know how they intend to enforce it. Could be a problem for the state-- I bet a lot of people feel same as you.

The state of California is currently assembling a couple emergency gas combustion power plants to help keep the lights on. Go figure.
