Great work, it is nice to see such fine attention to detail that will pay off in the finished product.

Yes - I did. Just sent payment for a 1970 2wd conversion. Been looking for a GMC for the collection for a few years now. Picked it up from user low'n slow.

Nice, it looks pretty solid. If you decide to put the 67-68 style hood on it I think I still have a 68 Gmc topbar and maybe a hood latch for a 68 gmc.

Does it have 5 lug or six lug wheels?

Good luck, Rg

Re: Lks Dcvn - 1972 2WD Blazer Build

Cool - I'll keep you posted once I get it and see what it needs - already all 5 lug front/back on the 70 2wd. Thanks Rg.

Did you ever get that other blazer/jimmy fixed up - the light green one from a few years back?

Re: Lks Dcvn - 1972 2WD Blazer Build

No, I have been SLOWLY doing what I can, but raising kids and paying bills has really slowed me down! My son has one year left of college and I should start hitting it hard then.

I have also been doing some small stuff on the blazer (new bumpers, different grill, etc.) Check my albums on my user profile if you want to see some pics.

im curious what rout you are going with for an ebrake? i am still pondering this myself as im installing a direct sheetmetal firewall on mine. how is the aftermarket sheetmetal fitting?

Re: Lks Dcvn - 1972 2WD Blazer Build

Haven't got to the ebrake decision yet - still working through a few other areas first.

Sheet metal is surprisingly all working together well. NsaneHotRodz (the shop doing the work) hasn't noted any major challenges for things lining up. There are always gaps and final panel alignment to do along the way though...

i have considered the https://www.estopp.com/ seems like a good option to keep the firewall clean
