Got my Jimmy back
5 Attachment(s)
I had some repairs done on my Jimmy. I also had all the side trim and badging removed. Still far from perfect but its a start! Here are some pics before I covered it up, it is supposed to rain for the next few days. I'll get some top off pictures soon.

Your grill looks great! I like the all chrome like yours but I can't find anyone that sells those. I can only find the ones that are black and chrome. Is that original or did you have it rechromed?

Re: Got my Jimmy back
Sweet!
What all was repaired/fixed? Any pics during the repairs? How bad was it? Glad it's back and your driving it. :metal: |

I can always add them back later if I want, but I doubt I will. |

Inner/outer rockers, a small part of the kick panels, and a couple inches of the floor. New cam and lifters installed (still not running 100%) overall the truck was in real nice shape but as I got into it I figured may as well fix it. Probably should have waited a year or two but got a great deal on the work. |

Here are some of the rot pictures from another thread
HERE I will post some of the interior pictures on the next nice day. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1184284980 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1184285101 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1184285139 Here is some more patching that I did HERE http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1190398322 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1190398322 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1190398322 You can see the rest of the truck was pretty clean. After all the repairs, seam sealer and rust proofing we applied a bedliner to help protect from future rust. I'll post those pictures later. |

Lots of little hack jobs were repaired like this beautifull weld on the window frame! You can see how solid the rest of the floor in the back ground looks.

Re: Got my Jimmy back
Is it just the standard 72 grill from lmc and you removed the paint with acetone? Was it pretty easy?? Just making sure. It looks great:metal:

It was not an easy bolt in. It took a lot of massaging, enlarging holes etc but it looks way better than my original grill and re chroming is in the $1000-1500 range and my grill had some dings. Thanks for the compliment! |
Re: Got my Jimmy back
Nice looking Jimmy what size tires and rims do you have on it I like them with the wheel covers.
