I waited to get even with my bad neighbors of 30+ years. I outlived them.

That's one way to do it.

A little time consuming but effective. :metal:

I'm glad I have good neighbors. Kill em with kindness Paul!

Maybe your neighbor is just un-social or could also be depressed. I do not recall you mentioning if he was a loner. Does he live there by himself, does he have visitors. Maybe he is jealous of you. Either way, you should just continue on and live your life. Let him be miserable, you got better things to do. Like telling us your funny stories, just not ones about hot dogs.

He's married. I seldom see his wife there though. She doesn't cause any trouble. I don't see her as part of this nonsense at all. She seems to work a lot. He doesn't work at all. She does all the yard work too. He won't lift a finger. He doesn't seem to be disabled. He stole those poles out of my yard with no problem.

And never any visitors. The lights are never on at night. Not one. It's weird.

Get a dog. Train it to attack. Don't chip or register it. Don't let anyone know you have it. Let it attack the neighbor. Not your dog, not your liability.

He could very well be depressed or other issue. Not your problem (except makes for bad neighbor) and it is his problem to seek help with. But it could be if you just carry on and do your best to be a good neighbor things will break through to better relations. Like Dale says, kill him with kindness. That's how I dealt with my crappy neighbors and it killed them . No, haha, but rather than start an all out war I would have been fighting all those years, there was only a few minor times of tension when we'd have to complain about something inconsiderate they were doing. The one guy, like his dad, liked to tell people what they should be doing but don't you even tell them a single thing they should (or shouldn't) do. "If it was me I'd...". "I don't like to tell people what to do, but...". Just a big bag of hot air to me

I've already got a big dog. He's kind of hard to miss. He's a good dog but if he doesn't know you he will attack. He's very protective.

Yeah
German Shepards are very protective of their owners.

I have had 3 very good Shepards in my lifetime.

One of them run a guy up on the hood of his truck.
He was backed up to the front of the house,
getting a bedroom set that Daddy gave him.

Next thing I know Charlie had broke the chain.:uhmk:

He is a great dog. He's very well tempered. My friends can come over with no problem but anyone else gets the "all teeth' treatment. He knows who should be here and who shouldn't. My pool guy walks right in the yard with him every week.
Anybody else wouldn't make it to the pool.
