A couple of questions?

I have a 1987 one ton with the 7.4 liter (454), the motor appear's to be untouch and all oringinal! The rod & main bearing caps are stamped and the pick-up on the oil pump has been spot welded, does anyone know if they came from factory like that?

Its been rebuilt at some point. The pickup welding on is the dead giveaway. I dont ever remember seeing main caps marked from the factory either. Definately not a bad thing that its been rebuilt. Over the course of 20 years Its to be expected.

I've seen BB main caps marked from the factory. In fact I thought all BB main caps were marked.
