Tail Light Lens Question

Hey all, quick question about tail light lenses. Working on my dad's 70 K10 Suburban. He decided he likes the look of the truck's lenses over the Suburban's. Is it possible to just put the flat lenses on his current housings? Or is it more involved?

Re: Tail Light Lens Question

You mean the housing? The part that the bulb goes in? Either way, it won't work as the back of the suburban is at an angle, so there would be a gap I think

Re: Tail Light Lens Question

It currently has the factory curved lenses that stick out a little bit. He wants them to be flush with the body.

The truck lens is $9.95 + shipping from LMC. Buy one and try it. Then let us know. I might like the look myself!

Re: Tail Light Lens Question

If you just swap the lens, there will be a gap at the top behind the lens and the body. You can try swapping in the housing with the truck lens together, that may work, but the lens without the housing won't

Thank you for the response.

Re: Tail Light Lens Question

Truck lens will fit on the housing, but there will be a gap all the way around the entire tail light. In addition to that, it won't sit flush with the burb body. Either keep the burb tails or get custom into body work and make something you like.
