There are still some good customer service companies

I bought a floor model 22.5 inch Weber smokey mountain got it 50% off . It was missing a grate and the coal door. No big deal I'd just order them registered the smoker and emailed the customer service. Gave them the backstory and within 20 minutes on a Saturday I get an email asking for my shipping address and phone number and they would ship out the parts free of charge.

I have 3 Weber's this one a charcoal station grill and a 15 year old propane grill . Yes they are speedy but they stand behind the product

I had to call Orkin a couple days ago. They knew who I was from caller ID. All I needed to do was tell them the house had been sold, and that they needed to send the renewal to the new owners' names at the service address. Amazingly that made sense to the lady without me having to explain it three times :)

No big deal, but usually these sort of things are complicated and take 10 to 30 minutes.

That's nice to Know.

Great that Weber is still a good company.

I remember,
My Daddy use to send his Zippo lighters to Zippo,
When he would wear them out.
They would rebuild/ replace it for free.

I'm sure they still do.

Companies like these are Nice to still have around:metal:

A few years back I had an old Husky ratchet that had finally given up the ghost. I went to get a new one and noticed that they had a lifetime warranty. So I thought what the heck and got my old one and brought it in to H.D. and I'll be danged. They gave me a new one. No hassle.

The one thing that they did that I thought was a mistake was let me keep the old one. They didn't want it. Who's to say that I couldn't just come back in a week and do the same thing again.

Now I'm honest guy and I wouldn't do that. But I'm sure that there are plenty of people that would.

I like Weber grills (Is it grills or grilles?) I have 5 of them in different shapes and sizes. Although I'm not crazy about my Summit. It's too complicated for my simple mind. But my wife loves it. She bought it. ($1900 )
It's good to know that Weber stands behind their products. We need more of that. :)

That's good to know, thanks for letting us know. Strongly influences my decision if I'm trying to decide between two different manufacturers. You could even let them know that you told us about it. Doesn't hurt for them to know that others will know about their good service.

Someone gave us an old Weber grill that was falling apart. I meant to fix it but after years I hauled it to the scrap metal pile at the dump.

Maybe I should have called Weber and got them to give me a new one?

No joke they will help you fix it up. Weber is awesome. I have warrantied parts and pieces with them over the years, but I have heard of them sending new bowls, lids, etc. for really old grills.

Except their new pellet grille has been an outright disaster.

I picked up a S-K 1/2 ratched literally it was on the road last winter the drive was sheared off and the gear drive was cracked. Called their service they sent me the whole gear drive assembly. Took all of 10 minutes to fix another good company

I bought an 8 foot flag for our church flagpole last September from Rushmore Rose. It was important to me, as a veteran, to make sure it was a US-made flag. I bought it through Amazon and it was a really nice flag.

We had high winds (60 MPH gusts) a few weeks ago and I didn't get the flag down in time. One of the stripes was shredded. I posted a question on Amazon about how to get in touch with the company for a warranty claim. Two days later a brand-new flag arrived.

Too late now :(

The carriage made of thin wall 1" square tubing had collapsed. I was always going to get a bunch of angle braces and through bolt it back together, but after ten years I just wanted to get it out of the yard.

Lodge treated me well when one of my cast iron skillets cracked. I emailed them and they just asked for pictures and my address to send me a replacement.

I have had my Summit Weber for about 15 years. Still works great but it is awfully large for just me and the Wife since the kids have gone out on their own.
I almost burned it down once making a pizza. I had it on high to get it real hot and it burst into flames shooting 15' high. Good thing we had a large plant on the deck. I grabbed it and dumped it in the grill to put our the fire.

My Summit is nice. But you're right. It is big. I just have trouble with all the doo dads. My wife has it down. Which works for me. She can do all the cooking and I can sit and drink beer. :)

Your pizza incident reminds me of my garlic bread incident. I went to check it and it was on fire. The flames got pretty high before I dumped the whole mess in the sink and blasted it with the sprayer. I guess you've got to watch that Italian food.

Still not as bad as when I was carrying my wifes birthday cake with the candles lit singing Happy Birthday and I caught my beard on fire. It's a weird feeling to have your face catch on fire. I wouldn't recommend it.

I love companies like that, they always influence my decision when purchasing a product. A company that stands behind their product is a company I want to make sure stays around.

Weber all the way! We used to rotisserie prime rib until the grease plugged up the burners and melted the controls. My wife emailed them on a Sunday and they replied within an hour. They sent new burners, controls and a return label to send the old stuff back. There was no charge even though it was our fault the gas backed up. The prime was so large we had to run the bbq without the grates and burner tents. I won't buy anything else and we are on our 3rd Weber. The oldest one is 20ish years old and still going strong.

Only have 2 Webers myself. A Genesis Silver (which was pretty cutting edge for us when I got it 22 years ago) and a 20" Kettle that is 40+ years old. The Wife owns that gas grill (I'm not allowed to touch - except for the rebuild 10 years ago. The Kettle is mine and has benefitted from Weber's lines of replacement and upgraded parts.

Ive never had to contact their customer service but now I just might for the Kettle. A couple of the tabs have busted off of the vent doors and the ashtray is kinseyed up a bit. All cosmetic though. Worked well enough for Mothers Day back ribs that were excellent!

If and when the time comes, it would be another Weber.

Re: There are still some good customer service companies

All I buy is Weber's. With one exception. I do have a Big Green Egg. I can get it up to 500+ degrees. Good for pizza.

There was a long time that I wouldn't even consider using a gas grill.(Blasphemy! ) But we got a place in the Angeles National Forest and that was all you could have due to a high fire hazard. No open flames allowed. I've gotten pretty good at the gas grill. I have a 3 burner Weber. The 3 burner is nice. I like that grill. It works great. The best part is that my friend gave it to me for free. It's old. But I like the old ones better. They are simple. Like me. :)

I use it when I'm in a hurry or just too lazy to deal with lighting a fire. Which is often.(Not the hurry part).
