I received my booster bracket and am very pleased with the speed of shipment, packaging (well-protected in box, and finish further protected with vacuum packaging), the mounting hardware, and the quality of the product. Thank you, CaptainFab: your workmanship and attention to detail is excellent.

Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

which one will I need for a 60-62 firewall that was set up for hydraulic clutch, but is now a standard (63-66 style) clutch?

getting ahead of myself here , but I am not sure if I will have to change out the pedal support from 61 to 63-66 with the clutch change as well....not sure if that will make a difference with the bracket or not?

also not sure if I am going with hydro boost , or regular power brakes, with your bracket(s) do either of them still need the rod from the pedal to the booster shortened/lengthened?
thanks.

Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

Well, this booster bracket is designed to not only bolt up to existing holes, but also cover the no longer needed clutch master hole. However I'm sure you could easily take care of that extra hole another way. As for the pedal bracket, I do not know if you could simply change just the clutch pedal and the arm on the end, or not. If that won't work, you will have to change the entire pedal bracket to a '63-'66 unit. Ultimately the booster bracket to use will be determined by the pedal bracket used.

Here is the newest version of the power brake booster adapter bracket that I've been making since 1993. This bracket is fabricated from laser cut 10ga mild steel and fits 1960-62 Chevy and 1960-63GMC Pickups, Suburbans and panels and is 100% bolt on using holes already in your firewall. The booster side of the bracket has a 3 3/8" x 3 1/2" hole pattern. Boosters with this pattern are commonly found on S10's and full size pickups, Suburbans, Blazers and Tahoes from 1988 to at least 1998. You can also find compatable boosters on early to mid 70's Impala's. Of course you will have to join the booster pushrod to your stock MC pushrod that attaches to your brake pedal. This can be done by either threading both ends and using a coupling nut, or by just welding them together once you determine the correct length.

I have had the original version ('63-'66) of this bracket on my '66 Suburban and have driven over 120,00 miles with no issues. I have also installed these on a couple of local pickups with good results as well. If you are wanting to add hydroboost to your pickup, Suburban or Panel I also offer a mounting plate for the hydroboost HERE

The price on the bare steel brackets is $55.00 plus a flat $12.35 shipping in the US. If you are located elsewhere contact me for shipping charges. You can also get this bracket in a satin black powder coat for an additional $6.50. Mounting hardware is included.
