Old sayings or sayings from old folks
I was working on my fence hammering some nails today and it made me think of something my grandpa said along time ago. We were building my folks new house and he was watching me work and said " You hammer like lighting, you never hit same place twice.":lol:

My dad always called my brother-inlaw BLISTER,he aways showed up after the work was done:lol:
my favorite was"that's harder than sticking a noodle up a dogs but" he had a lot I can't repeat,I'll get SPANKED;) |

One from my dad, My sister "Betty" was a big gal, but that didnt stopher from trying to wear little gal clothes, she figured it she could get it on, it fit. Well one summer she came to our house wearing a tiny ill fitting sun dress, to which my dad commented. "Too much Betty, not enough dress". I still use that one quite often here in our lovely little community, :lol: |

Dad to me or one of my 3 brothers-
Do I need to light a fire under your azz! I'm gonna jerk a knot in your butt! I just don't know about that boy! Then line us all up and say-Which one of you is the "Other one" that did it? My H.S. science teacher who was a B-17 WWII vet, use to always tell the class in the morning. "Sit down before ya fall down"
He was one of those teachers in ones life that ya never forget. |

I had a old co-worker who would tell me to
"go stick your right eye in sh*t !" every time he caught me looking/checking his work. And a old huntin buddy who would say "thats slicker than owl sh*t on a door knob" every time one of us younin's brought some new gadget too hunting camp |

My grandmother used to tell us "you'd worry the horns off a billy goat." Now at times I tell my son the same thing :)
