Re: 60-66 Panel/Suburban body to frame mounts

I have their catalog and I noticed that it says the kit is for 60-66 Suburbans
I have both a '63 and a '66. The second set of brackets from the front are different
The '63 has a solid type bracket riveted onto the frame.
The '66 has a bracket with a cushion on the side and still requires the cushion on the top of the bracket.
Does anyone know if these use the same cushion on the top of the bracket?

Also, does this kit include the front set of cushions (the round cushions)?
So I guess their is a total of 16? cushions?

This is the bracket on my '66

Re: 60-66 Panel/Suburban body to frame mounts

I remember when I wanted to replace those cushions on my 65 GMC Suburban back around 1999. I ordered a set from a then big player, Golden State Pickup Parts. I was told they were on backorder. About 6 months go by and no delivery or estimate, I called my local Buick GMC dealer with the part number out of the 60-66 assembly manual. Went down to the dealer the next week and picked them up, then cancelled my order with Golden State.

I went ahead and ordered those and received them from the Truck and Car Shop (NC).
I compared to the originals and all were about 1/8" thinner.
The round front cushions I was asking about looks like they would be the square ones in the packaging.
I'm not for sure what I'm going to do on the bracket with the cushion I have in the image below. I think I will cut down one of the rectangular cushions for the underside of the bracket since a full one would not fit.

Has anyone tried these on a '60 - '62?

I have not yet purchased these yet but if you call and ask they will probably send pictures or dimensions. I have used lots of their products on other projects and they are always very helpful and will send samples of window run channel and other items if you ask.
