Rear seat belt location

I am installing rear seat belts in my 77 Blazer and it’s become clear the retractors can be mounted in the centre of the seat or on the ends of the seat. My searching indicates they are mounted in both locations and either both locations are correct or one is wrong. There are so few all original Blazers left and the correct location might be lost. Comments appreciated.

I just restored a set for someone. He was local, so he took his belts out and brought them to me. As soon as they were done he reinstalled them right back where they belonged. Just happened to send me a picture. Hope this helps.

Here’s another one. These are in the same place.

Thanks Tina, those positions seems most logical to me. And aligns with the slight differences on the anchor end. Now how about the centre belts. Your pictures show the long centre belt on the left and the right of the imagined occupant. Which is correct?

That I couldn’t tell you. I’m going to assume the Buckskin seat is correct. He said the belts were never removed until he took them out for me to restore. Then he put them back in the same position.
