Power steering issues, gm box- cummins pump

I'm having issues getting my powersteering to work. At idle I have some chatters and kinda works. When bringing truck off idle ps is gone. I used the 72 gm box and the 91 dodge pump. I adapted the two with braided line and an fittings. I think it was -6 for ps pressure (braided with plastic liner)

Do you think the line is to small? Both trucks worked great before tear down.

Got it fixed, tons of air in system. Took alot to bleed out compared to other cars I've done

Glad you got it fixed. I had the same problem with mine.

I've had a tough time gettign a couple trucks bled out after a full build before. It seems jacking the front axle up and turning the wheel swith no weight on it helps get the system moving. Sometimes it takes cracking the pressure line at the steering box.
