I'm in ;)

If I do the side fill on mine, have the side flange 3/4 higher so the tank fits flush, and take 1" off the bottom, would that change the pricing at all?

Also, any chance of me paying today or tomorrow to get mine produced as soon as you have time? I am ready for my tank as soon as I can get it.

Mine is carb setup...not EFI...

I can place the side filler and move the mounts but you cannot change the tank dimensions.

I can build your tank whenever you are ready, however i cannot give you the group buy price.

I just got back in....I can paypal or pay by credit card...let me know what works for you. I want the carb tank with the mounts moved up 3/4", the side fill (has to be less than 3" above the top of the tank overall to fit) Thanks!

You can put another person down and I'll paypal tonight after I do a few quick measurements. Quick question, can the fill neck be made to accept a fill hose instead of using a gas cap and can its dimensions vary (looking at maybe 1 1/2" to use a boat filler).

Thanks, Jeremy

I just realized you had 2" spec'd...I would need 1 1/2" also for a side fill to work. I imagine anyone with the side fill would require 1 1/2

Re: 2009 aluminum fuel tank *group buy only*

Is there a sending unit and pickup included with the tanks?

Are these baffled tanks?

Do they include any mounting hardware?

Also could one be made with the filler tube in the center?

Thanks.

answers in the order asked

1. we do not supply sending units, we do supply the mounting flange. there is a fuel supply fitting on the pass front corner refer to the second drawing in post #1. here are 2 sending units that will work with our sender.

240-33 ohms

0-90 ohm
- http://www.egauges.com/vdo_indS.asp?...90ohms&PN=SN38

2.Yes they are baffled please refer to post #1
3.We do not supply bolts
4 Yes I have 2 tanks in process as we speak with center fillers. send me a sketch showing how you would like it done.

Re: 2009 aluminum fuel tank *group buy only*

Since there are no modifications to the posted tank dimensions it looks like I am out of the group buy. My space is 27" x 17" which means the 19" dimension won't fit. Don't understand why my space is different. This sucks.

Re: 2009 aluminum fuel tank *group buy only*

I just measured my frame also and my dimensions are 27" side to side and 17" front to back... I guess whoever came up with the 19" front to back depth doesn't have the stock crossmembers back there??? Is everyone in the group buy gonna move their crossmember?

Dave, Would you be willing to do a separate group buy price for the stock dimensions texas67chevy and I come up with?

Yeah it looks as if the design is going to need to be modified to suit others needs. use the original designs and modify them to fit your needs.

Sweet. Thanks! I'll work with texas67chevy and come up with a design we both agree will work with a stock set-up.
