Listen to this....So I recently purchased a 2003 GMC 2500HD. Sweet truck with some nice goodies on it including a 5th wheel hitch and net tail gate. My plan is to someday use these. But for now I was thinking "wouldn't it be nice to find a tailgate, then someday a cap". For using while on fishing trips to keep my stuff safe.
So I'm noodling around eBay and wouldn't you know, there is an ad for a 2003 GMC tailgate in the exact color of my truck. The thing looks cherry. Except there's a problem. Seller is posting "local pick-up only". Undeterred I do a quick search in the forum and discover BruthaMan lives in the same TX town. I write him out of the blue to ask "would you do me a favor please"? Could you pick up the tailgate and take it to the local UPS store. He writes back..."no problem". So the deal goes down and before 24 hours even passes the tailgate is picked up, packed and shipped to me. I still can't believe it. This total stranger helped me out and for I say, BruthaMan, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are one special guy and yet another shining example of what makes this little truck forum a very special place.
