500hp small block with stock frame
 
I am converting my old c20 into a drag truck. My original thought was build a 700hp 540 but I started figuring out the cost of and longevity would be of the drive train components. I decided to run a 500hp 383 with a 150 shot and make it into a sleeper. I am going to put a 9in under the rear with a calvert racing flip kit, I've seen trucks run with just about this much power and hookin at the strip, they didn't wiggle and wobble to bad but they were all short beds. My question is hookin up at the track would my longbed would it want to twist the frame bad enough to where it would hurt anything?
