Gauge Wiring Help Needed S10-ers

Hey everyone,

I have been looking into getting some autometer gauges that will mount right at the bottom of the dash until i get some nicer ones for my in-dash install on my 1953 S10 swap....I know that I will be using electrical gauges and not mechanical gauges because of the gauge cluster I will be using from my 1996 S10 and i want to use the existing wiring. The plug which plugs into the gauge cluster has many different wires of all colors and I'm not sure which ones to use to connect to my electrical gauges....I have searched the board tirelessly before asking this question and I have gotten responses before telling me where to go to find it or to find one that is close to my year model....but I have not found one I can use. If you have a gauge cluster wiring diagram with color breakdown of the wires I would really appreciate it if you could share it....its for a 1996 Chevrolet S10.

Thank you guys again!

Blake

I can give you the connector breakout, but it may not help you very much. If you are planning on running autometer gauges they will tell you where to hook the wires to. I recently intalled 2 4" autometer gauges (speedo and a quad gauge) in a '50 hudson with an ls engine swap and the factory ipc plug did me no good at all. It ended up being a lot easier just to connect to the source. An electric speedo needs to be hooked up inline with the computer anyways. I had some trouble with one of the gauges and a quick call to autometer resolved the issue, they were very helpful. If you still want the breakout pm me your email and I'll send you it.
