The starting point of the frame. It's from Art Morrison. No it's not a pro streeter.

Check out my doors in the above pic. They will have one piece glass with no filler piece. One of the things that was required was the switch the upper hinge to the lower.

pretty hard to tell what is going on here but it is the new window channel in the front of the door and the brace for it.

brad2 02-25-2003 12:56 AM

I really like the corvette handles and seriously considered them. I deceided to just do away with them.

EdB 02-25-2003 12:58 AM

Brad,

This looks great. Keep us posted.

If you do much of this, you know how hard it is to hold pices
in place for welding. The magnets in computer hard drives
are powerful. I had one go out last year and took it apart
to see what was inside. I noticed how powerful the
magnet was and took it out. It made two pieces and I
use them regular. I am looking for a couple more.

uh so shaving the door handles or just no to vette ones?

supercheyenne 02-25-2003 12:59 AM

Man, that truck will be insane when your done. Good job!

brad2 02-25-2003 01:11 AM

Thanks for the compliments.

Nope.....no door handles. If it were to have door handles it would be the vette style ones for shure.

hobby67stepside 02-25-2003 02:15 AM

Is that an old '55-'57 T-bird speedometer in the 2nd pic?

stllookn 02-25-2003 02:53 AM

hobby67stepside you are sharp! That is a T-Bird spedo. There is a T-Bird sitting next to my Jimmy.

Alexis you got it. I have been keeping it kind of quiet so far. I am suprised over a hundred views and no one caught it till you. Here is a different door pic for you.

Crank 02-25-2003 12:29 PM

What did you do to that door? Lol. J/k. The door makes the truck kinda resemble one of those new SSR's from GM. I really like the work you're doing to your truck. And d@mnit, great minds think alike, I've been thinking about Corvette handles for like ever. But now, I think, I'ma go for Malibu rear door handles. No locks. :)

Sweet work so far....nice!

brad2 02-25-2003 01:28 PM

Brandon I bet the Malibu handles cost a LOT less also.

This pic is dark but you can see the front of the top. No drip rails either.

low 84 02-25-2003 03:00 PM

can't wait to see it done man. you are making pretty good progress on it. that ones gonna make your old lt1 truck look like childs play, lol.

SCOTI 02-25-2003 06:45 PM

Hey brad, where's all this taking place? A corner of the work shop or home???? I like the retractable roof pics posted in classic trucks a while back but felt it would be too impractical, the idea was cool because of the look of the roof & windshield/cowl laid back. Looks like BearClaws for the latches....is that just to clean up the jambs? I've been considering them for my 67(I think the stockers are kinda bulky).

Anyhow, sweet...very sweet.

Myride 02-25-2003 08:28 PM

nice work.
