Custom 1987 Chevy Crew Cab Short-Bed 4X4!
1 Attachment(s)
This is not my truck, and I am not trying to sell this truck. I would like to know what you would "Realistically" pay for a truck like this?
I do not know the specifics of this truck or the owner for that matter, so I am going to make up the details: 1987 Chevy Crew Cab Short Bed: 6.2 Diesel turbo 400 trans with a 205 transfer case 8" Skyjacker soft ride lift Dana 44 8 lug front axle with 4:10 14 Bolt FF rear axle with 4:10 New 37X14.50 Toyo AT tires New KMC 17X9 Wheels The reason I am asking you all is because I am looking at a truck similar to this one, and considering purchasing it... What are your thoughts? |
Re: Custom 1987 Chevy Crew Cab Short-Bed 4X4!
With what you posted as details I would not pay more than the going rate for a crewcab shortbed because none of those details fit what I want... Now start talking 454 th400 d-60 front with 14FF rear and 37 inch MTZ's BFG's or Toyo MT's I would pay about $6000 depending on the trucks condition. Less if the body was not clean and/or the interior was rough etc.
Also I think the truck you posted is a LWB |

A dana 44 is acceptable with 37" tires. I used to have that same setup for years with occasional abuse. No problems with that combination. Now if you are wanting to go bigger than say 40"s, than 1 tons are definitely needed. Trevor
