Trailing Arm Mounts
2 Attachment(s)
These are the mounts that you need when installing a non-original differential under your trailing arm equipped truck. I make these for both the 10/12 bolt differentials and the 14 bolt differentials. They are laser cut from 3/16" steel, formed on a press brake and the end caps are MIG welded on. The price on these are $57.50 plus a flat rate shipping in the US of $16.25. This pricing is always current and up to date. As always I will combine shipping when you purchase other items from me, to save you money on shipping.
To make a purchase either post in this thread, send me a PM or send an email to captainfab454@hotmail.com, and I will give you the ordering and payment instructions and current lead time. |

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
Those look very nice. Could you tell me what the difference between these and the ones cpp sell? Im going to need a set soon for custom 9 i just built.
|
Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
Well for one, CPP does not make them for a 14 bolt, and secondly since I have never had my hands on the ones they do make, I do not know how they compare to the ones I make for the 12 bolt (3" tube) Mine are made right here in North Idaho. I do not know where theirs are made. To some people like myself, where things are made makes a difference.

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
Well i agree im all for buying home built. Your quality looks top notch and if i dont buy a package deal on my rear then I'll grab a set of yours. Just wondered if i had missed anything specific on the difference of the two. Thanks

I used Captain's Trailing Arm Mounts when I swapped out my Eaton for a 14-Bolt. Worked perfectly.

do you make bumper horns for rear burban type bumpers?
|
Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
No I do not. Those would be a little spendy to fabricate.

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
Hi, Im getting ready to put a later 308 rear end in my 64 that has trailing arms, Im guessing ill need these brackets then>? Im not sure how many bolts the new rear end has in it or how big the tubes are yet though, I will get that info tomorrow.
Have a good week |
Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
If the differential is a 8.5" 10 bolt or a truck 12 bolt, the axle tubes are 3" in diameter.

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
is there a Diagram with Measurements for the spacing of these for 60-62?
|
Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
I can try and get some measurements for you tomorrow, but to get the pinion angle correct, you really need to mock this up under your truck at your desired ride height.

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
Pinion Angle is easy to set, more worried about the spacing between the 2 mounts.
|
Re: Trailing Arm Mounts
I am not able to get precise measurements for this but what I came up with is the center to center of the U-bolt at the rear should be aprox 46-3/8" and at the front 44-1/4".
