My dad and I bought this truck to tinker with and hopefully eventually pass down to my son. I have driven the truck about 50 miles since unloading it off the trailer so I figured now would be a good time to take some pictures before I start to correct some minor things on the truck. These pictures are how the truck sits this morning.

Got out in the shop and worked on the truck for a while today. Got the cluster out for an overhaul and got together a parts list for interior odds and ends. Hope to have the interior 100% in the next couple weeks then on to correcting some things under the hood!

Honestly I like the wheel a lot more than I thought I would. It’s great quality and it clears my sons car seat when it’s in the middle. I would recommend it to anyone that just needs some more room.

Looks incredible! Did you restore the cluster yourself?

I actually ended up sending it off once I got into it. It had some electrical issues with the circuit ribbon on the back that I wasn’t comfortable addressing myself. I used a place called classic gauge and cluster. He got it done fast and everything works like a champ again.

Got the sky jacker 2.5” lift installed on the truck. Now I’m going to move onto getting the tow hooks installed. I’ll get the hub caps back on the truck this afternoon after I re torque the suspension components. Truck is coming along nicely. More pictures to follow after the hooks are on!

Please run that truck to Springfield and let me drive it for the weekend. Love it. Great truck. Would love to have a 4wd at some point.

Finally got around to getting the tow hooks on the truck last weekend. What a pain in the butt but it was worth the effort!

Truck has been in body shop jail for the last couple months. Funny how a buff and polish has turned into a huge project. I’m excited to have my truck back. Hoping a couple more weeks and we can bring it home. For anyone that is curious we did cut the outer roof skin off our truck and add a cab light roof skin. I have never been so nervous in my life but the truck is in great hands and it’s turned out great.

Thank you sir! Its defiantly finally coming together. Just need to source some new trim parts for the truck this winter and it will be ready to roll. I am still hoping to get the truck back before the end of the year.

Mike Mclin at the Restomod store. I see you are from independence, they used to be located basically at Truman road and lees summit road. Just east of the police station but moved to Lees summit about a year ago. They do great work and have painted several trucks for me.

Beautiful truck that looks really original for the most part. That's awesome you have 3 generations of clean examples. Nicely done. I like the cab light roof skin addition as well with the lift. Great work!
