1984 Short Bed Silverado
 

Been looking for a clean rust free project. Ended up picking up light blue metallic 1984 Short Bed Silverado.

Paid way too much.

Two owners before me started the project. All new sheet metal and fresh paint. Then decided to have the frame restored. Received an estimate from another body shop and ended up selling the truck to an employee of that shop. Truck sat for 3 years.

I will be pulling off all the sheet metal and will rebuild from frame up.

Paint is not perfect. Will do white two tone to fix the paint issues.

Looking at QA1 Coil over kit.

Already ordered the bench seat, door cards and dash pad.

Thanks, it is nice from 30 foot. The new bed sides need worked to take some waves out and there are some stamping dimples around the door handles that will be fixed.

Bench seat showed up this week. Downloaded House of Kolor 3d Painter to do some renderings.

Project is on hold. Closed on 6 acres of land. All funds are diverted to new home and separate shop build. Are there any threads for shop build ideas?

You can check the Tools, Shops, and Shop Safety area. Some new shops being shown down there. How big you thinking? If you can afford it, go bigger than that. One thing I wish I would have done on mine is put about a 10-15 foot covered area on the front with a full concrete slab under it. Or depending upon how you lay it out, some lean-to areas off the side for storage of stuff that is good to be out of the weather but not cluttering up floor space on the inside.

Been thinking about 40x60. The house will have oversized 4 car attached.
