How to tell if truck or van tilt
 
I'm going to go look at a tilt steering column tomorrow and I want to make sure I'm not buying a van column how can I tell the difference thanks in advance.

Top bottom in picture below.
- Motorhome
- Truck
- Van. The fitting at the end of shaft comes off and the shaft is splined like the other 2.

As you can see, the truck tilt has the neutral safety switch in a different location, the motorhome tilt has a bend in the part the auto transmission linkage attaches to, and the van has a longer shaft.

Great info and thanks for posting. Just a question about the motorhome tilt in the picture. When u say motorhome tilt do you mean like a 67-72 Winnebago motor home with a GM powertrain or the cab & chassis with motorhome body added.

Did not get any replies when I asked and ended up ordering the wrong joint for my steering. Going to help you out. My stock tilt is 3/4" x 36 spline.
