interrior issues need a lil help

as you can see in the last picture I have started to re-do the interrior, I found most of a immaculant interrior out of a 79 silverado which I like the 75-79 dash better than the 81 and up I re-died the dash from tan to burgandy with no problems and started to do the door pannels preping them the same as I did the dash after compleatly dismanteling them but the die is fish eyeing and pealing does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this befor I possably incounter the same problem on the rest of the trim parts and vinal head liner? I may not be building a strait out show truck but I want something that I can be happy with for a long time, the seat in the truck is a 40/60 split bench out of a 90 silverado and is burgandy already and I have set of burgandy buckets and center console/seat out of a 94 Starcraft Mark III Silverado that I want to eventually install so having the door pannels and dash match and look good is a must... I also plan on lowering the section of the hump around my 4x4 shifters 3" to counter the 3" body lift and be able to utilize a actual aftermarket twin stick boot instead of the junk I came up with to seal the shifters.
another question I have is which company would you recomend for a white face gauge set that would be close to the origanal black GM ones in look to replace my Speedo and gas gauge and possably heater/ac controles?

pics of the 44's on the truck, and boy do I have to either get more lift or start buchering, I'd pefer more lift, I don't intend on cutting any more than I already did when I modified the front fenders

Re: "Clifford" 83 Chevy 3/4ton 4x4

ok here's a bunch of updates being as I ain't posted anything in a while, 1st the 355 ci I had bit the big one and I replaced it with a 307ci out of a 69 camaro that has ben punched .40 over and installed a mild cam with a gear drive timing set, ran it with little to on probnlems memorialday and 4th of july weekends just to blew up a u-joint which trashed a couple axle shafts, snapped the 4 bolts that hold the front drive shaft to the t-case, and hand gernaded the rear diff all on my birthday weekend, so now time for another round, just picked up a 14bolt FF to replace the 14bolt simi-floater out back and have to pull the yolk off the front and try to remove the snapped bolts. anyway here a re some shots of what all has been done to it since the last time I posted

well I design and build all my own bumpers and then some, there is a thread on here somewhere about them and showing a few I have built for all makes and models (yes even Ford) the front one is actually number 2 on this truck, the first one I sold to a friend for his 76 shortbox after abusing it for 5 years or so with the only damage being scratches to the powder coating and a dented up cheep brush guard

I love your front bumper. Nice truck. On the interior orange-peel, if it had armorall on it you need to use wax and grease remover at LEAST 5 times to get that crap off. Armorall sucks. Also when I dye interior parts I use 2-3 very thin coats. Dulicolor works pretty good or Marhyde. Duplicolor bedliner spray cans works good too and can be painted. (experiment with that) Headliner best to just have re-skinned.

thanks for the tip, I cleaned the door pannels twice with wax and grease remover and still had it peal so mabe I'll strip it and try that a couple more times, but the dash took the dye like nobodys business, the headliner I want something custom with built in overhead soncil to hide the CB and add a dome light for sure but it'll have to wait.
here are a few pics I took over the weekend

LOVE THE REAR BUMBER!!! I'd love to see a picture of the mounting brackets so I'd have a perfect idea of how to set up before I weld everything out... definitely going with this bumper for my 86.

Also had a question for you about the roof visor... I've heard a lot of guys say they don't like them, and others say they do, what's your take? I know how I feel about their looks... but do they do anything funky with the wind coming off your windshield or deflect rain in awkward ways?

only issue with my visor is low hanging branches, I really like it although I would pefer the Lund lunar visor with the built in clearance lights over the Lund Solar that I have, as for pics of the mounts on my rear bumper, I build and sell my bumpers here in Iowa and am not usually up to give out all my design secreats sorry, all I'll say is think class V or VI reciver hitch and if you care to PM me I'll give you some heplful tips but not my specific design.
