1.25 vs 1 rotors
Whats the reason or advantage to having 1.25 inch rotors over 1 inch rotors?

Re: 1.25 vs 1 rotors
Less chance for them to warp.

I believe it was a heavy duty brake option, the spindles were diffrent also

Re: 1.25 vs 1 rotors
I have read on a separate thread that the caliper is also different, although i have not confirmed it. But i would take it for fact since no one corrected the poster.
I would imagine that the extra 1/4" of material would take longer to reach a given rotor temp. also withstand a longer and or heavier break eppisode. But that's just my 2 pesos |
Re: 1.25 vs 1 rotors
The only advantage to using the 1" rotors,... is that my Boss 338's with all the hub issues,... will fit on the 1" rotors.
(otherwise, all parts are a little higher for the 1" rotors) I'll be using them on my '86 project, so I can run my Boss wheels. (as far as I know Boss hasn't released a new designed wheel,... yet) Otherwise,... I would use the 1.25" rotors. |
