Cutting Plexiglas

Does anyone know an easy way to cut plexiglass in a circle ,I want to cut a piece to cover a 15 inch tire where the wheel goes just over the lip ?

If your looking for a perfect circle, get a measurement of what you want then see if any of your local sign shops have a CNC router, most will cut it out for you pretty reasonable. If perfect is not required just grab a hand held sabre saw with a fine blade that the teeth point straight forward or worse case point up. dont use any that point down because if the plastic heats up and grabs the blade it will break the plastic when the saw comes back in contact. A hand held router would work as well if you wanted to cut a jig out for it.

ALso keep in mind there are different types of plex. There is G, MC, optix and others and they all do not cut the same. Some of them do not cut as nice as others and will melt back together as you try to cut thru them. If that happens just keep on cutting and make a 2nd pass. If you have a deep throat band saw that would also work nice as long as it is not a coarse wood blade in it.

I use my Roto Zip to cut with. It is one of my best tools.

I got mine at Lowes. I used it for all kinds of stuff and at less than $100.00 it's worth every penny. It makes putting golf cart lights a breeze.

It can cut just about anything but metal. I have cut through nails though!

Your welcome. They have all kinds of different bits. They will cut holes into solid surfaces. You just angle it a little and start into the surface and it will cut a hole. I installed 15 sets of golf cart head lights in half a day one time for a local cart shop.:chevy:

We used a bandsaw.
After marking the radius, it cut a perfect circle
