A/C cutoff and drive signal

I'm working out a few details of my 2004 5.3 swap. (blue/green PCM)

I installed a Holley Sanden A/C pump. It requires this $200 part #15982NOS to cutoff the compressor over 4000 rpm.

I'm not interested in buying another $200 part with 20 wires hanging off it. And, I don't really have a good place to install it. There has got to be a simpler cheaper way to cutoff the compressor at 4000 rpm?

Second, is there a PCM signal for "drive". I'm looking for a way to trigger door lock relays when shifted to drive.

Thanks

Re: A/C cutoff and drive signal

The easy, cheap way of turning off the compressor at 4k is to manually reach over and just turn it off, like we used to do back in the day. 2003 and up A/C request is on a serial data line, so not easy to control with the PCM. Even if you could get it to work, it won't shut it off at 4k, it will shut it off at full throttle. So it would probably be easy enough to mount a full throttle cut off switch on the gas pedal to cut it off at WOT.

Also, as far as I know, the PCM doesnt have a signal for locking the doors when shifted into drive, that would be a BCM and maybe even an instrument cluster function.

I would think you could use the transmission gear selector switch signal to trigger a relay when in drive.
